About Me

It’s safe to say that Ty Frederick knows the real estate business from the inside out. “I worked as a broker focusing on new construction from 2002 to 2006, and then was a managing broker from 2006 to 2007,” Ty says. “From there, I went on to work in the insurance field until 2017, still working closely with real estate brokers.” Today, Ty uses that background to serve American Home Shield® real estate clients in southwest Washington, where he has lived his entire life. “I serve the area south of Kent to Longview, including South Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula.” Ty holds property and casualty insurance licenses and enjoys golf, fishing, and riding quads. “I have been married to my wife, Karen, since 2005 and we have two boys,” he says. “Goose, whose real name is Grayson, is 16 and Scooter, whose real name is Tucker, is 13. We love chasing our boys and the sports they play, which includes football, basketball, and golf. One of my biggest passions is coaching. I’ve coached baseball, football, soccer, basketball and lacrosse. If we’re not in a gym or on the football field, we like to play golf or be at our property in Libby, Montana, where we ride quads, fish, boat, ski, and snowboard.” The oldest of five children, Ty also enjoys spending time with family and friends. “We have a big, blended family and love family get togethers with endless games of cribbage,” he says. “My wife is the first generation of her family to be born in the United States. Her father was a refugee from the former Czechoslovakia and built an amazing online jewelry company. My circle also extends to college friends. I’m a diehard Washington State Cougar fan, and to this day some of my closest relationships are with my Phi Delta Theta fraternity brothers.” Ty eagerly shares his broad base of knowledge with real estate clients in his area. “My career path from 2002 until now has given me some amazing tools specific to buying and owning a home,” he says. “I’m also extremely involved in the community and love nothing more than connecting people.
